Topic 1: Objectives

• To review local statistics and epidemiology of Cardiovascular Disease in Jamaica
• Discussion on local data on Stroke and its appropriate management

Topic 2: Objectives

• Discuss the current guidelines in DVT assessment and management
• Highlight the role of DOACs and when to use in the Primary Care Setting
• Review Apixaban and its Efficacy and Safety Benefits
• To review the current guidelines in Managing NVAF and the role of DOACs
